Built in 1912, overlooking the famous Bay of Angels, and classified a National Historic Monument in 1974, the Hotel Negresco is one of the few remaining privately owned palaces still existing in the world. Jeanne Augier, owner and chairman, has created a unique living museum. Her desire to share her passion for art with her clients. Throughout the hotel, epic periods in the history of France are represented, from the renaissance to the 3rd Millenium. The decoration of each one of our 121 guestrooms and 24 suites has been inspired by the most outstanding periods of French art and history. Rooms have been individually decorated to reflect styles as different as Louis XIII and art deco.*** From 01/10/09 until 01/01/10 the hotel will be undergoing renovation work to the faAsade of the property. This will involve scaffolding being put in place over the angle on which the hotela euro s entrance is situated, from the ground floor to the 6th floor. 6 Deluxe Sea View rooms, 3 one-bedroom Suites, 5 Junior Suites and 1 Presidential Suite will be unavailable. Clients will not be booked into any room which touches the scaffolding. The hotel will also be carrying out work inside the hotel. The latter will be completed over the period 04/01/10 to 30/06/10.
