Borgo di Filetta Hotel Siena
Once a medieval customs station, Filetta has not lost its important strategic position on the road leading from Siena to the sea, whilst remaining immersed in the peace and quiet of the splendid surrounding countryside. This cluster of buildings dating back to the early 12th century have been masterly restored conserving all of the original architectural features. The appeal of the exposed stonework has been saved just in time so preserving the history of these walls which characterize the spirit of the Borgo. Filetta comprises 29 delightful rooms, which all succeed in making the guests feel as if in his own Tuscan home and not in a hotel. Each and every room has been furnished individually, even the beds are different. Unity is created by the use of color, in light earthy tomes in perfect harmony with the stonework, and by the theme of the 'Jockey', which is carried through in the fabrics and the equestrian sculptures.
